Animal farms emit around 400 different harmful gases. Some of these gases include nitrous oxide, ammonia, particulate matter, and hydrogen sulfide.
For example, 80% of ammonia emissions in the US comes from animal waste. In fact, methane, the principal gas produced by cow waste is one of the largest contributors to global warming. This methane can trap up to 100 times more heat in the atmosphere than carbon dioxide overall over a five-year period.
The United Nation (FAO) estimates that livestock production is responsible for 14.5% of global greenhouse emissions. The WorldWatch Institute has estimated it could be 51% more than the emissions of all the cars, trucks, planes, and ships in the world.
Livestock in the US produces more than 500 million tons of excrement each year! More than factory farms could ever distribute as fertilizer.
Livestock account for an estimation of:
- 9% of global carbon dioxide emissions
- 34% to 40% of global methane emissions
- 65% of nitrous oxide emissions
- 64% of ammoniac emissions
Is there an existing solution? Yes!!!
With the CLEAN AIR FEED (oxygen-HD3), any livestock farmer can take control of greenhouse gas emissions that are characterized with foul odor.
